Nothing Phone (2) Confirmed: Everything You Need to Know

It has been almost a year since Nothing Phone (1) was launched. Carl Pei is ready to launch a new device this year, the Nothing Phone (2). While most people are waiting for the Pixel 7a to launch on 11th May. Nothing quietly dropped a teaser for Nothing Phone (2) on Twitter yesterday. The tweet clearly states that the Phone (2) will be launched sometime in the summer. It also shows a video where we can see a small part of the rear panel of the Phone (2).

Nothing Phone (2): What to Expect

At MWC 2023 it was announced that the Phone (2) is going to be the flagship phone unlike Phone (1) which was a midrange phone with a midrange chipset, This time around the Phone (2) is going to have a flagship Snapdragon 8 series chipset which according to Qualcomm’s Alex Katouzian is Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. He mentioned this on a LinkedIn post which he quickly deleted, essentially confirming the chipset. But let's wait and see what happens.

Nothing Phone (2): Design

According to the teaser of the Phone (2), we can see the Phone (2) will also come with a transparent back panel. We can see the white plastic panel covering the internals along with the Glyph Interface light strip. We can also see a red recording indicator which is not rounded this time.

A Twitter user Derren Gone Digital also made a conceptual design of the Phone (2). And shared it on Twitter. He took part in a challenge where he was given early access to the teaser image, he has made an interpretation of the Phone (2) which looks amazing in my opinion.

Nothing Phone 2(): Pricing

Nothing Phone (1) last year was announced for INR 30000 which offered a great design, decent cameras, a good OLED display, and a midrange chipset the Snapdragon 778G+ and also promised 3 years of software updates. While we don't know anything about the pricing of the Phone (2), we know it will come with a much superior chipset The Snapdragon 8+ Gen1, a better design, and improved cameras the Phone (2) surely will cost higher than the Phone (1). Unfortunately, at this point, we do not have any rumors about the pricing of the Phone (2). My guess would be around INR 45000 for the base variant considering the competition has put their devices around the same price.
